Born in 1938 in Cascais. He held the course of the School Antonio Arroyo and he received a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation under the guidance of the painter Júlio Pomar. His work goes through several artistic disciplines such as painting, video, installation and performance, and the latest work directed to the picture. Between 1958 and 1976 he worked as creative and designer at various companies, institutions and media such as "Seara Nova".

Since 1976 works at the Ministry of Culture as a senior technician, which has had several positions related to the sector mounts exhibitions, where he was responsible, the exhibition programming or publications. Held several solo and group exhibitions and is represented in many museums and private and public collections in Portugal and abroad.
