MARIO SILVA was born in 1929 in Coimbra, distinguished himself particularly in painting, his work extends to the graphic domain, ceramics, sculpture and monumental public art.

Since the 60's, it has held numerous group and solo exhibitions in Portugal and abroad and won several awards. His works appear in various Modern Art and Contemporary Museums, as Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Boston, Anchorage, Amsterdam, Montecatini, Stockholm and Portugal in Coimbra, Lisbon, Amarante, Castelo Branco, F. da Foz, VF de Xira, Ovar, Pinhel, Viseu and in several Galleries, Public Archives and private Collections, dispersed around the world.
