Artur Bual was born in Lisbon in 1926. He was one of the greatest painters of the second half of the twentieth century Portuguese, of gestural painting pioneer in our country, sculptor and ceramist. His art was somewhere between Heaven and Earth, or as brilliantly defined it in "chaotic harmony of the universe." He attended the School of Decorative Arts Antonio Arroyo. In 1947, he began his career as a painter.
