Sergio Freire, gallerist and contemporary painter of Lisbon, was born in 1947. In the 60s attended the course of decorative arts in the school António Arroio in Lisbon. From 1969 to 1975 lives in Luanda, Angola where exhibits for the first time. From 1977 to 1986 resides in Toronto, Canada, dedicated to the advertising and painting, exposing quite often. He returned to Portugal in the 90s, where he dedicates to painting and attends the workshop of several painters. Quoted in several newspapers and magazines, with interventions in 47 television channels and CIRV in Toronto, Canada. Part of his work is recorded on film and is deposited in the National Cinematheque in Lisbon. He is mentioned in the International Art Yearbook 2003. His work is published in private and public collections in Portugal and abroad.
